Evaluation includes 4 areas:

1. Repertoire which represents history, and 5 main genres of styles.

2. Written Exam which includes: 

• Music Theory (all tests are derived from "Fundamentals of Piano Theory" by Snell & Ashleigh; KJOS publishing

• Study of Piano Anatomy

• Music Terminology 

3. Practical Exam which includes:

• Level appropriate scales, intervals, and arpeggios.

• Sight-reading, Rhythm-reading, Fake-playing

• Improvisation - melodic and chordal

4. Aural Exam which includes:

• Identifying intervals, scales and chord progressions

• Dictation

• Terminology
